Terms of Service

1Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and DataAutomation.ai, LLC ("we," "us"), the operator of Dice Football Club (the "Game") at dicefootball.club / dicefootball.netlify.app and in any app store where we publish it. The Game also uses “Gridiron Roll” as its in-game tabletop moniker. By playing the Game you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not play — though we would rather you did.

2Your license to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the Game for your own enjoyment. The Game — its rules engine, artwork, voice recordings, music, text, and design — belongs to DataAutomation.ai, LLC and its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property law. This license does not permit you to copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly rehost the Game or its assets, or to extract its paid content. Streaming, recording, and writing about your own play is welcome.

3The free game — our covenant

The following is a binding commitment, not marketing:

The free box is free forever. Nothing free is ever taken away. Ranked play is never for sale.

In plain terms: the free tier of Dice Football Club is a complete game, playable without an account, without ads, and without payment — permanently. Features available in the free tier will not later be moved behind a paywall. And nothing you can buy will ever affect competitive (ranked) play: purchases are teams, audio, cosmetics, and history — never an advantage on the dice. Any future change to these terms that would break this section does not apply to you unless you expressly accept it.

4Accounts

An account is never required to play the free game. It lets your club profile, Big League access, and purchases follow you across devices. You may sign in with an email and password, an emailed magic link, or Google when offered. Keep your password and email account secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts are for players 13 and older. You can delete your account at any time from within the Game; see the account-deletion page and Privacy Policy for details.

5Subscriptions

• Recurring billing. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, charged to your payment method by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS), until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep everything you paid for through that date. There is no cancellation fee and no penalty.
• Lapsing is soft. When a subscription ends — by cancellation or a failed payment after its grace period — your account falls back to the full free tier. You are never locked out of the Game, and nothing free is removed (see section 3). Your on-device saves remain yours.
• Price changes. If the subscription price changes, we will notify you in advance and the new price applies only from your next renewal — never mid-period, and never without the chance to cancel first.

6One-time purchases

If you bought the Deluxe Box (or any other one-time product) outright, that purchase is perpetual: you keep it for as long as the Game exists, it never converts into a subscription, and it never expires. Every price is the whole price; every box lists everything inside.

7Refunds

• Web purchases (Stripe): contact us at support@dicefootball.club and we will work it out — we would rather refund a purchase than keep an unhappy player's money. A refunded purchase or a chargeback ends the corresponding entitlement.
• iOS purchases (Apple): Apple processes all App Store payments and handles their refunds under Apple's own policy; request one through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue Apple refunds ourselves.

8Fair play and acceptable use

Keep it worthy of the table:

• No cheating, exploiting bugs for competitive advantage, or tampering with the Game client, servers, or dice in ranked or online play. (Found a bug? Tell us — that's a favor, not a violation.)
• No harassment or abuse of other players; display names must not be hateful, obscene, or impersonate someone else.
• No scraping, ripping, or redistributing the Game's paid content, artwork, or audio.
• No use of the Game or its services for anything unlawful, and no interference with other players' access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund of a knowingly abused subscription, but we will always explain the reason and hear you out.

9The service, as-is

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the dice will ever forgive you on 4th and long.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of the paragraph above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory local law.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataAutomation.ai, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Game is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) ten U.S. dollars.

11Changes to the Game and these terms

The Game evolves — rules get balanced, content gets added. We may update these terms; when we do, we will update the date and version number at the top and, for material changes, give notice in the Game before they take effect. Continuing to play after notice means you accept the updated terms — except that no change may break the covenant in section 3 without your express acceptance.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction — though we would genuinely prefer you email us first: nearly everything can be fixed at support@dicefootball.club.
